Dr. Shin received his undergraduate degree at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, then earned his medical degree at the University of Hawaii School of Medicine in Honolulu. He completed his general and vascular surgery residency programs at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. 

Dr. Shin has completed additional specialized training as a registered vascular technologist (RVT) and a registered physician in vascular interpretation (RPVI). His memberships include the American Venous Forum and the American Vein and Lymphatic Society.

Dr. Shin’s experience and training allow him to perform and interpret diagnostic studies and administer treatment on-site. Treatments include sclerotherapy, vein ablation, and surgery, but patients are provided with all their options so they can choose what’s best for them.
